ABOUT MEGAN

Megan Murph moved to Missouri from South Carolina in 2021 as the Director of the Budds Center for American Music Studies and Visiting Assistant Professor in Musicology at the University of Missouri.

While her Ph.D. is in Musicology/Ethnomusicology, she also holds a 200-hr RYT (from Lexington Healing Arts Academy in 2014) and is a Master-Level Reiki practitioner (2020).

Mindfulness and yoga are important to Megan as a professor and a musician, as it connects to her passion for music, sound, and listening, but it is also a way to live a body-positive and inclusive life.

She is dedicated to providing yoga classes that are for all yogis regardless of background, size, age, gender, race, class, and identity.
