ABOUT KATIE

Katie began her yoga journey back in 2012 as a way to get exercise in. Little did she know that it would transform her life way past the physical. In 2013, she completed her 200 hour training with Sumit’s Hot Yoga and in 2017 completed her 300 hour Vinyasa training in Bali with Les Leventhal. Katie has also done trainings in pre and post natal yoga and loves teaching and empowering Momma's to connect with their body, breath, and baby.

She has taken workshops and festivals all over the world and loves to come back to Columbia to share what she has learned. Her classes reflect a wide variety of influences and she focuses her classes on being as accessible as she can for her students while opening them up to challenging themselves and moving their bodies in different ways.

Yoga has also given Katie the opportunity to help people at a broader level. In 2015, she started organizing and teaching yoga classes to benefit local charities in town at cool places in Columbia (Yoga Gives-CoMo) as a way to give back to the community. Katie loves to teach partner yoga and inversions with her husband Scott. She is also a Reiki practitioner, a former tap dance instructor, yoga teacher trainer and a new Mom.
